Job summary

ShelterCare is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the Maintenance Department in Eugene. You will oversee building and grounds maintenance, inspections, preventive maintenance, and major renovations, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.

The role reports to the Property Developer Manager and offers a starting salary in the $61k–$64k range, with opportunities to influence budgets, vendor relationships, and IT/vehicle fleet support.

Qualifications

• Certification in a building trade or equivalent years of progressive responsibility.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.; ability to drive agency vehicles; work with multiple software systems.
• Experience in facilities management with leadership, budgeting, and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and grounds operations; inspections, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and renovations.
• Ensure facilities meet building codes and safety standards; develop and manage facility budgets.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and supervise maintenance technicians.
• Maintain records, monitor safety practices, and participate in management meetings.
• Evaluate donated furniture with the Development Department; bid development for external contracts.
