Job summary

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the care and operation of OSF’s facilities, including three venues, approximately 80 apartments, and related properties. This role blends technical expertise with strong people, project, and budget management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, building maintenance, construction, or related field.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Journeyman-level experience, certification, or licensure in a building trade such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Lead Facilities Operations: Oversee maintenance, custodial services, grounds, building systems, security, and facilities work requests across OSF properties.
• Manage & Develop the Team: Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Facilities staff.
• Maintain Critical Building Systems: Ensure HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, elevators, and other systems are properly maintained.
• Lead Projects & Capital Planning: Manage renovations and coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors on capital projects.
• Manage Budgets & Vendors: Develop operating and capital budgets, oversee purchasing, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate bids.
• Oversee Fleet & Properties: Manage OSF’s vehicle fleet and properties.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure facilities operations meet building, fire/life safety, environmental, accessibility, and safety requirements.
