Job summary

ShelterCare is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team in Eugene, OR. You will perform a wide range of maintenance duties at ShelterCare properties, including indoor/outdoor painting, drywall, plumbing, and other repairs.

You will be on an on-call schedule and support our mission to serve clients with care. We offer a competitive hourly wage, benefits, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Aptitude for learning quickly.
• Must be able to work on ladders, scaffolding, lifts.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of fencing, concrete work, preventative maintenance.
• Available for weekly rotating on-call schedule.
• Ability to drive agency vehicles.
• Ability to pass a DHS background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform indoor and outdoor painting and drywall repairs.
• Repair and maintain facilities, including plumbing tasks.
• Replace outlets, switches, fixtures, and service furnaces and thermostats.
• Assist with minor floor repair, tile, carpet, and vinyl.
• Attend on-call emergencies as scheduled.
