Job summary

Greystar in Washington state is seeking a Service Technician to perform essential mechanical and maintenance work across the property, ensuring safety and quality of buildings and common spaces. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and complete make-ready tasks for vacant and occupied units.

You will manage parts, document work orders, and coordinate with vendors while adhering to safety policies and codes.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• State and local certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests for service and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspecting, listing needed work, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting completed tasks.
• Manages materials and inventory: tracks usage, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor when reordering is needed.
• Documents work orders and maintenance activities accurately and timely for proper tracking.
• Assists in grounds and common area upkeep, including cleaning, painting curbs/signage and maintaining pool areas.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools/materials efficiently.
