Job summary

The County of Delaware's Facilities Management Department seeks a dependable General Maintenance Worker II to support maintenance, repair, and operation of County-owned facilities in Media, PA. Working under the Maintenance Supervisor, you will assist with building systems, minor repairs, grounds work, and emergency response to keep facilities safe and functional.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.
Minimum one year of building maintenance or construction experience preferred.
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with acceptable driving record across employment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on County buildings and equipment.
Assist with basic carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, doors, windows, and general building maintenance.
Assist with basic plumbing repairs including faucets, toilets, sinks, valves, and drain systems.
Assist with basic electrical maintenance including replacing lamps, ballasts, switches, receptacles, and light fixtures.
Operate and maintain CMMS and document maintenance activities.
