Job summary

Grove Nursing Center in Grove, OK seeks a dedicated maintenance worker to keep the facility, grounds and equipment in safe, compliant condition. You will perform routine maintenance, safety checks and assist with repairs according to policy and supervisor directions.

You will follow infection prevention policies, manage supplies, assist with inspections and coordinate with staff to minimize disruption to residents.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds, facility and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.
• Inspect equipment for proper functioning and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Follow safety and infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Assist with moving equipment and supplies to prevent injury and coordinate with staff to minimize disruption to residents.
