Job summary

GROVES is seeking a maintenance worker to uphold grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe, efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards and policies. You will work under supervision to follow schedules and coordinate with nursing services for resident areas.

Essential duties include routine maintenance, reporting accidents, and maintaining supply levels while ensuring resident comfort and confidentiality of information. This role requires physical stamina and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area.
• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
• Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
