Job summary

Discovery Management Group in Norman, OK is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our community team. You will perform maintenance and housekeeping duties around the grounds, buildings, and units, completing service requests in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

The role requires basic plumbing, electrical and mechanical knowledge, the ability to respond to emergencies, strong communication, organization, and safety awareness. On-site, full-time position with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• One year maintenance experience or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled hours.
• General understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and code compliance.
• Awareness of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties around community grounds and buildings.
• Complete routine service requests for repair and maintenance of all areas and equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Repair walls/floor coverings, furniture, fixtures; basic plumbing; minor electrical; appliances; painting; HVAC and carpet upkeep; prepare rooms for move-ins.
