Job summary

Apploi is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to manage repairs, upkeep, and safety of the facility, equipment, and grounds. The role emphasizes reliability, timely response to emergencies, and adherence to policies.

The successful candidate will perform various trades, maintain electrical/plumbing systems, and participate in fire drills while ensuring resident and staff safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work beyond normal working hours including weekends/holidays when necessary.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as described.
• Regular attendance and ability to operate a vehicle if required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance is responsible for repairs and upkeep of the facility structure, equipment and grounds.
• Comply with facility policies, safety standards and procedures.
• Report resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Administrator or Unit Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of sidewalks, drives, and grounds; ensure safety.
• Perform painting, fixture repairs, and basic maintenance of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Organize fire drills and ensure fire safety equipment is inspected regularly.
• Maintain facility equipment such as washers, dryers, boilers, A/C and lawn equipment.
• Provide 24-hour availability for maintenance emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and Residents’ Rights.
