Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member in Florida to ensure all mechanical systems and equipment operate reliably and that common areas are clean, disinfected, and visually appealing.

You will perform routine maintenance, respond to work orders, follow safety guidelines, and collaborate with building staff. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with a Monday–Friday schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Walk floors and report problems to supervisors.
• Follow safety precautions at all times.
• Maintain relationships with building staff.
• Paint common areas and advise on touch-ups as needed.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good condition.
• Perform minor carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring repairs as needed.
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
