Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to ensure all mechanical systems and common areas are operational, clean, and disinfected. The role requires routine inspections, safe work practices, and timely handling of maintenance requests.

The position involves painting, basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related repairs, with a 7am–3pm Monday–Friday schedule and $27.00 hourly compensation. A Florida driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and reports issues to supervisors.
• Follow safety precautions while performing work.
• Maintain good working relationships with building staff.
• Paint common areas and touch up as needed; inspect areas needing paint.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Assist with light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate and use new equipment safely as directed.
