Job summary

FirstService Residential in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to keep mechanical systems and common areas operating and clean. This full-time role requires basic trades work and reliable on-site presence.

You’ll perform routine inspections, follow safety procedures, complete daily work orders, and assist with carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting and flooring tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years general maintenance experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Multilingual abilities desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspects floors and reports issues.
• Follow safety precautions during all tasks.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good condition.
• Assist with carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and flooring repairs.
