Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member in Florida to ensure all mechanical systems and common areas are properly maintained and disinfected. The role involves performing repairs across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and flooring, while following safety procedures and reporting issues to supervisors.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, with an hourly rate of $22.00–$24.00. The position offers full benefits, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• 2 years general experience in building trades or handyman work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Multilingual abilities are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and reports issues to supervisors.
• Maintain safety and report hazards.
• Paint common areas and touch up as needed.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Assist with carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs as needed.
