Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member in Highlands Beach, FL. The role ensures all mechanical systems and common areas are properly maintained, with a pay rate of $18/hour and a schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 8am-4pm.

This full-time position requires performing routine maintenance, responding to work orders, and supporting carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and flooring tasks while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance or handy work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and inspects for problems, reporting to supervisors.
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintains working relationship with building staff.
• Paints common areas and performs touch ups as needed, inspecting areas that need paint and advising manager.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Performs minor maintenance in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring and other building repairs.
• Follows safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Uses new equipment after proper training and safety checks.
