Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an in-office role in Newport Beach, CA. You will perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across building systems under supervision of the Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer.

The role requires HS Diploma or GED, technical training, and 1–2 years of related experience. Expect after-hours work and strong focus on safety, teamwork, and tenant relations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational training, and/or 1–2 years of on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, or plumbing.
• Basic working knowledge of laptop and phone apps for work order and facility operation systems, plus Microsoft Outlook.
• Possess engineering and trade licenses required per local/state/national requirements.
• Familiar with fire/life safety equipment and procedures.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent internal and external customer service; able to interact with tenants/vendors/contractors and teammates.
• Familiarity with blueprints and code requirements.
• Ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, and during emergencies as needed.
• Able to read/write English to understand manuals/procedures and write reports.
• Willing to develop proficiency in basic hand tool operation and mechanical repairs; exposure to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in restroom facilities and replace fixtures as needed.
• Carry out general labor tasks and debris removal.
• Safely use vehicles to travel for parts and supplies; follow traffic laws.
• Maintain or replace door hardware and basic furniture and floor maintenance; basic painting in equipment rooms.
• Inspect and clean engineering areas, mechanical spaces, and equipment.
• Replace lamps, air filters, ceiling tiles, and fire extinguishers.
• Communicate professionally with teammates, vendors, tenants, and clients; keep stakeholders informed.
• Interact with tenants, engineers, and contractors while performing tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; comply with OSHA/NEC/NFPA regulations at all properties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
