Job summary

FirstService Residential in Miami Beach, FL is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to ensure all mechanical systems and common areas are operational, clean, and disinfected. You will perform routine maintenance, complete work orders, and coordiante with building staff.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, paying $22.78 per hour. A high school diploma and experience in building trades, plus strong communication and customer-service skills, are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 2+ years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills are important.
• Multilingual ability is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and roofs, reports issues to supervisors.
• Adheres to safety precautions while performing work.
• Maintains cordial relationships with building staff.
• Paints common areas and touch-ups as needed, advises manager on areas needing paint.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintains equipment in good working condition.
• Performs light carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring repairs as needed.
• Follows safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Performs limited repairs that do not require permits.
• Learns to use new equipment safely.
