Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member in Highland Beach, FL. You will ensure mechanical systems and common areas are well maintained, clean, and disinfected. The role involves inspecting floors, performing light repairs, and completing daily work orders while adhering to safety standards.

The position requires 2+ years in building trades, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work in a team. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2+ years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handy work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• Multilingual abilities are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and reports problems.
• Ensure safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintain good working relationships with building staff.
• Paint common areas and touch up as needed; inspect areas needing paint.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good condition.
• Assist with lifting heavy items following safety procedures.
• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, flooring repairs as needed.
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
