Job summary

FirstService Residential in Miami Beach, FL is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to keep mechanical systems and common areas in top condition, ensuring safety and cleanliness. You will perform routine inspections, follow work orders, and assist with minor repairs across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and painting.

The role is full-time, includes weekend shifts, offers comprehensive benefits, a 401k with company match, and opportunities for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handy work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors including roof checking for problems and lights out; reports to supervisors.
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintains working relationship with building staff.
• Painting of all common areas and touch up may be required; advise manager.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Performs minor maintenance, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring repairs.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
