Job summary

FirstService Residential in Highland Beach, FL is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to ensure all mechanical systems and common areas are maintained, safe, and clean. You will perform routine inspections and minor repairs across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and painting, while upholding safety and service standards in a multi-site property.

Responsibilities include walking floors and roofs, completing daily work orders, and maintaining equipment in good condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handy work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Walk floors and roof checks; report issues to supervisors.
• Ensure safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintain relationships with building staff.
• Paint common areas as needed and inspect areas for touch-ups.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Perform light carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate with proper permit requirements where applicable.
