Job summary

Manitowoc County is seeking a dependable Building Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep of County properties in Manitowoc, WI. The role covers building, grounds, and custodial tasks to ensure facilities remain safe, clean, and functional.

Responsibilities include maintaining electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and control systems; carpentry and painting; coordinating with contractors; seasonal grounds work; cleaning and security checks; and occasional weekend inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required plus relevant experience or education.
• Ability to troubleshoot building systems and perform routine maintenance.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and control systems.
• Perform carpentry, painting, and furnishing assembly.
• Coordinate with contractors and supervise on-site work.
• Grounds and seasonal maintenance including snow removal.
• Custodial duties and cleaning across facilities.
