Job summary
La Crosse County is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician – Long Term Care to perform skilled trades across several building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance at Lakeview Health Center & Assisted Living in West Salem, WI.
Under supervision, you will repair, maintain and upgrade building components, operate and troubleshoot building management systems, and ensure safety and compliance.
Qualifications
- Requires Industrial Journeyman Electrician or Maintenance license or equivalent HVAC education.
- Three years of maintenance and grounds keeping experience.
- Good work record and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance across building trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and painting.
- Operate and troubleshoot building management systems and related software.
- Repair/maintain doors, locks, fixtures, and furnishings.
- Maintain grounds, equipment, and participate in preventative maintenance per schedule.
- Ensure safety practices and compliance with county facilities standards.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
