FOREST GROVE POST ACUTE is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to care for the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe, efficient manner. The role involves following maintenance schedules, coordinating with nursing staff, and performing routine repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.

Prolonged desk use and lifting up to 25 pounds are anticipated. The position emphasizes safety, confidentiality of resident information, and adherence to established policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, facility and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow maintenance schedules for respective shift or area.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff when working in resident areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, and facilities.
• Repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical tasks as needed per procedures.
• Replace bulbs and maintain lighting; clean windows and screens.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervision promptly.
• Follow safety precautions and concealment of resident information as required.
