Job summary

FirstService Residential in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to ensure mechanical systems and common areas are well-maintained, clean, and disinfected. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, with pay ranging from $24-25/hr.

The role involves performing routine floor inspections, safety compliance, paint touch-ups, and a variety of minor repairs across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and flooring. Strong communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors including roof checking for problems and lights out; reports to supervisors.
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintains working relationship with building staff.
• Paints common areas and performs touch-ups as needed; inspects areas needing paint.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Performs casual labor including lifting/moving heavy items as directed.
• Performs minor maintenance repairs in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring, and related areas.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
• Operates maintenance tasks without permits where allowed.
