Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member in Boca Raton, FL to ensure that all mechanical systems and equipment operate properly and common areas remain clean and disinfected. The role is full-time with a daytime schedule, and pay ranges $24–$25 per hour.

Responsibilities include routine floor inspections, performing minor repairs across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and painting, and adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and reports issues to supervisors.
• Follow safety precautions while working.
• Maintain good relations with building staff.
• Paint common areas and advise manager on areas needing paint.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Perform casual labor and safety procedures as directed.
• Perform minor maintenance in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring and other repairs.
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform maintenance repairs in areas that do not require permits.
