Job summary

Eagle Senior Living is seeking an Engineering Assistant to help maintain our buildings and grounds. You will install, maintain, and repair equipment and appliances and report to the Director of Engineering.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years of related experience. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and emergency response is preferred. Flexible hours and physical work are involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Working knowledge of machinery, tools, electrical systems, and emergency response systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC and appliance servicing and repair.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine surveys of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
• Evaluate the physical and aesthetic condition of the community and recommend or arrange renovations.
• Prepare maintenance and repair work orders and ensure quality of completed work.
• Complete preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled; repair malfunctions and coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Repair household and commercial appliances, including dishwashers, washers, dryers, ranges, and microwaves.
• Maintain grounds — seeding, fertilizing, trimming, and general landscaping upkeep.
