Job summary

Homewood Living Frederick is seeking a part-time maintenance technician to assist in repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, structures, plumbing and electrical systems. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2 years of plant maintenance experience, with knowledge of boilers, generators, and related systems.

The position involves on-site work, on-call rotation, and duties like snow removal and groundskeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical maintenance training helpful.
• Two years' experience in plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and related systems advantageous.
• Must have organizational skills and follow sequential tasks.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and temperatures 0–100 °F.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist and lift at least 70 pounds.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Keeps equipment and buildings in good repair through preventative maintenance.
• Repairs electrical and plumbing equipment as needed.
• Responds to maintenance requests from residents and staff promptly.
• Assists with snow removal and groundskeeping as required.
• Rotates on-call duties during off-hours.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
