Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living seeks a dedicated maintenance supervisor to oversee the ongoing upkeep and repairs of our community facilities. You will supervise maintenance staff, respond to resident repair requests, and ensure safety standards across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time on-site position with a focus on reliable, quality service for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid State Driver's License required for vehicle travel, as needed.
• Ability to supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with residents and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the general operating maintenance and repair of the buildings and grounds to maintain proper care of the assigned community(s).
• Supervises scheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment.
• Responds to maintenance requests by residents for items needing repair in their rooms, including repairing plumbing, electrical, heating and replacing light bulbs.
• Directly supervise the maintenance technicians and building engineers, including delegating tasks, hiring, training, evaluating performance, and addressing disciplinary issues.
• Maintains safety compliance, conducts in-service fire safety training, and coordinates with fire and safety authorities as required.
