Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC seeks a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical work ensuring interior and exterior buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role involves routine upkeep, make-ready tasks, vendor coordination, budget support, and adherence to Greystar safety policies, with a Monday–Friday schedule and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects in buildings and grounds following safety standards.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate vendors.
• Develop cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors, signage, and common areas.
• Inspect work by staff and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies; coordinate with Community Manager on budgets.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in the Policy Manual.
• Assist Community Manager in developing budget for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing when safe and practical.
• Lead safety meetings; keep MSDS up to date and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide courteous, responsive service to residents and respond to maintenance requests.
