Job summary

AKA Hotels + Hotel Residences, part of Korman Communities, is seeking a maintenance professional to uphold safety, appearance, and reliability across the property. The role focuses on leading maintenance tasks, training new staff, and ensuring timely service.

A strong emphasis on brand standards and resident satisfaction is required. Responsibilities include daily supervised maintenance across residences, lobby, and common areas, plus on-call coverage after hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading, writing and spoken English proficiency.
• Minimum of five years in a similar role.
• HVAC certifications and state electrical board certification if applicable.
• Knowledge of boilers, pumps, valves, hydraulics, generators and motors.
• Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems; blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Function as ambassador of AKA culture and brand standards to team members, residents and vendors.
• Ensure professional communication and harmonious relationships across departments.
• Comply with the AKA team member handbook and code of conduct.
• Ensure timely completion of all assigned responsibilities.
• Ensure maintenance staff comply with image and safety standards at all times.
• Conduct daily property walkthroughs to ensure safety, cleanliness and brand standards.
• Respond promptly to resident and team member concerns and service requests; accommodate special requests when possible.
• Train new maintenance team members and schedule preventive maintenance.
