Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Planned and Preventative Maintenance Specialist for the Student Life | North Maintenance team. This role coordinates and executes a preventative maintenance program across building, mechanical, dining equipment, and related infrastructure to uphold safety and performance for about 6.2M square feet.

The position operates 11:00 pm–11:00 am on a rotating schedule, with weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Background check required; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develops, delivers and executes Student Life planned and preventative maintenance program; diagnoses building and mechanical system issues and determines corrective actions.
• Leads and coordinates tasks, supervises contractors and ensures safety practices.
• Documents tasks, communicates with management, and coordinates with Facilities managers for operations and events.
