Job summary

The Ohio State University—Student Life | North Maintenance is seeking a Planned & Preventative Maintenance Specialist to coordinate and execute a campus-wide maintenance program covering building, mechanical, and dining systems.

You'll work mostly on weekdays 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with on‑call, weekend, and after-hours tasks as needed, supervising contractors and ensuring safe, compliant operations across ~6.2M square feet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience.
• Must be able to push/pull 70 pounds, climb ladders and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates and executes planned and preventative maintenance for building, mechanical and dining systems.
• Supervises contractors and coordinates with Student Life Facilities managers for safe operations.
• Responds to urgent facility requests, documents tasks and maintains safety procedures.
