Role Overview

The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving the physical environment of a facility, ensuring safety, and managing related operations and budgets. This includes overseeing maintenance, repairs, renovations, and managing staff, contractors, and vendors involved in facility services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance & Repair
  2. Optimize and develop maintenance processes for equipment and facilities to ensure cost-efficiency, output, quality, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  3. Oversee routine maintenance tasks (e.g., cleaning, groundskeeping).
  4. Manage repair of equipment and machinery, including HVAC, lighting, and other systems.
  5. Supervise contractors for specialized repairs and renovations.
  6. Implement Standard Operating Procedures for maintenance.
Facilities Management
  1. Manage space planning, allocation, and usage.
  2. Ensure compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and standards.
  3. Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships for facility services.
Staff & Operations
  1. Supervise and manage facility staff.
  2. Develop and implement facility policies and procedures.
Safety & Compliance
  1. Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures.
  2. Stay current with directives, standards, and legal requirements related to maintenance and facilities.
  3. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  4. Conduct safety audits and inspections, address risks, and foster a safety culture.
Strategic Planning
  1. Participate in new investments and process development projects.
  2. Develop long-term plans for facility improvements and capital projects.
  3. Monitor and evaluate facility performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as 6S, visual management, and standard work.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and repair.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience.
