Maintenance & Facilities Manager

The Role - Maintenance & Facilities Manager]

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance and Facilities Manager to join an established manufacturing company in the Reading area.

This role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment, building systems, and infrastructure, with a strong focus on compliance, safety, and preventative maintenance.

Duties - Maintenance & Facilities Manager

Plant and Equipment Management

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of all production equipment.

• Plan and manage preventative maintenance schedules.

• Coordinate PAT testing and maintain accurate records.

• Maintain the company plant register and asset database.

• Manage decommissioning of machinery on site.

• Act as the designated Responsible Person for site LOLER and LEV compliance

Building & Facilities

• Manage building services installations and upgrades.

• Responsible for Legionella and emergency lighting record-keeping.

• Maintain and repair all building infrastructure including HVAC and gas appliances.

• Lead on all refurbishment and repair projects relating to the facility.

Security and Safety

• Oversee site security systems and access control.

• Act as a keyholder and manage access credentials

• Liaise with alarm monitoring services.

• Ensure contractor compliance with site safety procedures.

• Support Emergency Action Plans and incident management.

Background - Maintenance & Facilities Manager

• Formal electrical qualification is essential

• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or technical qualification is (relevant experience will be considered).

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• At least 1 year in a supervisory or team management role.

• Full UK Driving Licence.
