Job summary

Brookdale in Florida is seeking a maintenance supervisor to manage the general upkeep of our communities. You will lead maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff, coordinate repairs, and ensure compliance with current standards and regulations.

A high school diploma or GED with 2–3 years of related experience is required, along with a valid driver's license. The role involves HVAC, electrical, plumbing duties and occasional travel to properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus 2–3 years of related experience.
• Possesses broad facilities maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise community maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff.
• Direct operations for interior and exterior maintenance in accordance with standards.
• Oversee scheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire/sprinkler systems, generator.
• Coordinate resident maintenance requests and repairs to plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance of vacated rooms and common areas.
• Ensure proper maintenance of walls, floors, doors, and woodwork.
• Maintain safety communication with fire marshal and inspectors; review SDS as needed.
• Assess property damage and file claims per policy; respond to emergencies.
