The position oversees operations for general maintenance, housekeeping and grounds across communities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards.Responsibilities include staff supervision, preventive maintenance, safety coordination, and responding to emergencies.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years related experience, plus a valid state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–3 years related experience or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff; hires, trains, evaluates performance, and addresses disciplinary issues.
• Directs interior and exterior upkeep; inspects work for standards and policies.
• Oversees scheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator, landscape and kitchen equipment.
• Coordinates resident maintenance requests for repairs in rooms including plumbing, electrical and lighting.
• Oversees repairs and maintenance of buildings including vacated rooms; painting and carpet cleaning.
• Ensures common areas are well maintained and safe; communicates with authorities as needed.
• Assesses plumbing/electrical problems and determines best corrective action within codes.
• Reviews SDS for hazardous materials and takes precautions.
• Assesses property damage and files claims per policy.
• Responds to resident or community emergencies as needed.
