Job summary

Utah Valley University is seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee Facilities Services operations on the Main Campus in Orem. The role directs full-time and part-time staff in custodial care and building maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and well-functioning campus environment.

Reporting to Facilities Services Manager, the position requires hands-on leadership, coordination of daily maintenance tasks, and flexibility to rotate between work areas as needed; regular shift is Monday to Thursday,

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree and two years of experience related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and experience totaling four years.
License or Certifications: Current Driver's Licenses.

Responsibilities

Leads Facilities Services Technicians in building maintenance, custodial care, pest control, furniture moves and setup, and equipment repairs.
Performs maintenance trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC) and inspects buildings and equipment.
Maintains custodial equipment and vehicles; tracks time, personnel and materials for tasks.
Coordinates furniture moves, restroom accessory installs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
Supervises, trains, and evaluates full-time and part-time staff; assigns work and inspects activities.
