The University of Utah is seeking a Supervisor of Maintenance & Staffing to oversee School of Business facilities, systems, and landscaping. You will coordinate with university resources to maintain architectural intent, ensure safety, and maximize security for staff, faculty, and students in the School of Business.

Responsibilities include readings, calibrations, inspections, alarm monitoring, trouble-shooting, scheduling, budgeting, and project management within the CMMS framework.

Competenze

• Eight years of progressive maintenance experience with leadership in the last two years.
• Journeyman certification in at least one supervised trade required.
• Strong communication and human relations skills.

Mansioni

• Take readings off equipment to confirm proper operation.
• Adjust and calibrate equipment reading out of spec.
• Inspect building systems to ensure proper operation within limits.
• Monitor building automation systems and respond to alarms.
• Monitor fire alarm systems and respond as part of the ERT team.
• Participate on the school’s ERT team.
• Respond to trouble calls across shifts and weekends; coordinate with technicians.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Maintain assigned equipment room; keep clean and organized.
• Coordinate with District 5 facilities staff to resolve issues.
• Submit work orders and initiate capital projects.
• Initiate and manage facilities-related projects to completion.
• Recommend and perform building systems upgrades.
• Create and manage budgets for facilities maintenance activities and projects.
• Monitor maintenance via CMMS system.
• Collaborate with Custodial to maintain cleanliness levels.
