Job summary

The Scion Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our multi-unit student housing properties. You will lead the onsite Facilities team, oversee building systems, and coordinate with vendors to ensure safety, reliability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include managing HVAC, electrical and plumbing, coordinating preventative maintenance, reviewing work orders, and maintaining critical documentation and budgets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or military training.
• 5 years of relevant experience managing building systems in multi-unit properties, with 2 years in supervisory roles.
• 2 years' experience with building automation systems and life safety systems.
• EPA 608 Universal certification.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or plan to obtain within six months.
• Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings, blueprints and safety guidelines.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage all building services and preventive maintenance programs in line with SOPs and regulations.
• Supervise day-to-day operations including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and BAS.
• Monitor systems, provide diagnostics, and manage permits and certifications for major building systems.
• Oversee life safety systems and emergency response readiness.
• Prioritize and schedule maintenance work and document service requests.
• Manage Facilities Technicians and budgets; review completed work for quality and cost.
• Inspect facilities and prepare written reports with findings and recommendations.
