Job summary

Life Time in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ seeks a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to inspect, maintain and repair building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers and pool systems. This role uses a CMMS to log work orders, ensuring a safe, compliant and fully operational facility that enhances member experience.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years in facilities maintenance or building engineering with Boiler Operator, EPA CFC, and CPO/AFO certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Able to lift 20+ lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks.
• Technical or trade school certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boiler, and pool systems
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation of building systems
• Monitor and maintain water chemistry, filtration, and temperature controls for recreational pools
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including fire and life safety systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform emergency repairs as needed
• Maintain detailed records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities within a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Support overall facility appearance and functionality to enhance member and guest experience
