Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer in Florham Park, NJ to oversee inspection, maintenance, and repair of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boiler, and pool systems.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and CMMS record-keeping. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of facilities or building engineering experience, with relevant licenses and certifications, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks.
• Technical or trade school certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.
• 3–4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or engineering.
• Boiler Operator license, EPA CFC certification, and pool operator certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boiler, and pool systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation of building systems.
• Monitor and maintain water chemistry, filtration, and temperature controls for recreational pools.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including fire and life safety systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities within a CMMS.
• Support overall facility appearance and functionality to enhance member and guest experience.
