Job summary

Life Time, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer in California to oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, and pool systems.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and fully operational facilities through preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in facilities maintenance or engineering, with certifications in boiler operations, EPA CFC HVAC, and pool operation.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs. and perform physical maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boiler, and pool systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation of building systems.
• Monitor and maintain water chemistry, filtration, and temperature controls for recreational pools.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including fire and life safety systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities within a CMMS.
• Support overall facility appearance and functionality to enhance member and guest experience.
