Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer for on-site work in SAN ANTONIO, TX. The role supports operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 7am–4pm with on-call rotation; compensation is $25–$30/hour. Requires 3+ years in repair/maintenance and EPA certification or plan to obtain within the first year, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, or military service is desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or plan to achieve within first year with JLL assistance.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with ladders up to 30 feet.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance.
• Maintain CMMS work order system and respond to tenant service requests.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in training.
