Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors in Colorado is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across residential communities. You will repair homes, service facilities, and ensure clean, safe, and inviting grounds.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of maintenance experience, with a valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs. On-call duties and outdoor work are expected as part of the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months maintenance experience preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience preferred.
• 6 months in general maintenance knowledge and repair work preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work an on‑call schedule.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to preserve Sun's community properties.
• Repair and maintain rental homes and facilities.
• Inspect irrigation, water systems, and meters; perform minor repairs as needed.
• Keep common areas clean and grounds manicured.
• Assist with snow removal and salt spreading when applicable.
• Ensure streets and routes are safe and accessible.
• Maintain community pool(s) and facilities; testing chemicals where applicable.
• Provide legible written reports of maintenance work.
