Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Field Technician to maintain restaurants through preventative maintenance on all facility aspects.

You will supervise market-level facility management, perform routine site visits, and formulate maintenance schedules to keep cooking, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and refrigeration systems running safely and efficiently. Candidates should have strong trades knowledge (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair) and be able to train

Qualifications

• Two years formal or informal training on how to repair and maintain facilities.
• B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with restaurant equipment, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration or appliance repair preferred.
• Strong trade knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and cooking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects of restaurant management at the market level.
• Perform facility maintenance and repair through monthly site visits and analysis of restaurants.
• Formulate preventative maintenance schedules for safe, efficient operations of restaurant facilities.
• Carry out procedures if facilities cease functioning or pose health/safety risks.
• Train managers, crew, and staff on maintenance and repair concepts.
• Ensure staff follow maintenance practices and procedures consistently.
• Conduct maintenance seminars individually or in groups.
• Provide maintenance visit recaps to Operations Team and Regional Facilities Manager.
• Identify issues affecting costs and communicate with Regional Facilities Manager and Operations Team.
• Guide restaurants on maintaining and updating facility records.
• Perform equipment/building repairs during emergencies or scheduled visits.
• Complete other duties to advance projects or resolve issues.
