Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling to ensure reliable operations and occupant comfort. You will perform preventive maintenance, address repairs, and oversee energy management, complying with codes, safety rules, and CBRE policies.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 4–5 years of related experience, and Universal CFC certification preferred; trade school diploma considered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and CBRE directives related to building operations and safety.
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and perform emergency repairs.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials; keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Review building systems to ensure operation meets design specifications and client environmental conditions.
• Apply in-depth knowledge to solve complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across multiple job disciplines.
