Job summary

Lincoln Property Company in Dallas, Texas seeks a Building Engineer I to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. You will perform routine maintenance, handle tenant requests, and ensure safety under supervision.

Key duties include inspections, records maintenance, contractor oversight, and on-call support during weather events. Strong knowledge of BAS and trade licenses is preferred; 2–3 years experience required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of related experience or commensurate trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; BAS operation.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and work order platforms.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests from tenants and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and escalate issues.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with senior engineers and contractors to ensure safety and quality.
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; support maintenance planning.
• Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours responses.
