Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. The role includes performing rounds, preventive maintenance, repairs, and general housekeeping to maintain safe, comfortable environments.

The position follows a Tuesday–Saturday schedule with potential overtime to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, VAV, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and related controls to ensure building comfort and safety.
• Respond to emergencies and document activities for supervisor.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives; participate in safety training.
