Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance, painting, and housekeeping to uphold safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include maintaining HVAC equipment, monitoring energy management, and performing repairs. Expect possible on-call duties, overtime, and a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; apprentice/trade school preferred.
• Experience with energy management systems and building automation considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, valves, thermostats, and related components.
• Inspect and repair building systems, and ensure safe conditions in accordance with codes and company standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer recommendations and Cushman & Wakefield standards.
• Respond to emergencies and implement safety procedures while communicating with supervision.
