Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling in Lowell, MA. You will support preventive maintenance, energy management, and safety compliance while upholding CBRE standards for quality and reliability.

The role requires 4–5 years of related experience, compliance with codes, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4-5 years of related work experience; universal CFC certification preferred.
• Ability to follow codes, regulations and safety directives; willingness to obtain required licenses.
• Strong math and analytical abilities to support energy management and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical and building systems.
• Maintain building systems to meet applicable standards and client specifications.
• Follow safety codes and company policies; safeguard personnel and facilities.
• Implement preventive maintenance and assist with energy management programs.
• Conduct inspections of fire alarms, HVAC and plumbing systems for operation.
• Provide innovative solutions and share knowledge with teammates.
• Coach colleagues and contribute to cross-disciplinary teamwork within the function.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values in daily work.
• Support a wide range of customer, operational and project activities within teams.
• Work within guidelines and clearly explain complex information when needed.
