Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC systems at a large site in the United States.

You will support preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections while ensuring energy efficiency and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, safety-conscious operations, and knowledge sharing with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with related experience.
• EPA/CFC certification preferred; state/local licenses may apply.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with building operations and safety regulations is expected.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems including mechanical, plumbing, and electrical.
• Maintain energy management programs and ensure safety compliance.
• Support preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Follow safety policies for hazardous materials handling and cleanup.
• Review inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for design spec adherence.
• Apply advanced knowledge to mentor others and lead by example.
